Product Spotlight: DroneMobile

I am so excited to talk about this one! Do you remember as a kid of the 1980's watching the television series Knight Rider? Do you remember how cool it was that David Hasselhoff used to talk to his Trans-Am (KITT) using a communicator on his watch.

The Hoff normally had a lot on his plate, and so it was handy for him to be able to hand off some simple tasks - like driving - to KITT. KITT could start the engine and arrive on the scene when he summoned him remotely from his watch.

Now, back in those days these were VERY futuristic features. Fast forward to modern day technology... Viola! DroneMobile – remote start, security, and tracking all from your smartphone.

Much like the show, being able to use voice commands with the latest versions of the DroneMobile app means you can multitask. When breakfast is finished, and you are loading the dishwasher, just say, “Hey Siri, start my car.” All the functions that work with your phone or smart speaker will also work with an Apple Watch or Android Smartwatch. DroneMobile now works on Amazon Alexa!

What is DroneMobile?

DroneMobile is a remote car starter, but it is packed with a whole lot of other useful features. You get a remote car start, a souped-up alarm system, and some really cool tracking and geofencing features. And all of this can be controlled from either your smartphone or an Apple Watch.

You can use GPS tracking for personal or business vehicles.

Family Sharing allows you to add all of your vehicles to a single DroneMobile account, and share them with as many drivers as you please. This way, you can keep track of all your vehicle’s in one place, even if they have different drivers.

An exciting new feature was included in the latest DroneMobile update: Siri Shortcuts!

Shortcuts is a feature for iOS that allows you to automate certain tasks or sequences of tasks activated by voice commands or the tap of a button.

Will DroneMobile work with my vehicle?

DroneMobile systems can be installed to perform three primary functions:

• Remote start

• Security and keyless entry

• GPS tracking

Auto Trim Design can help you determine your vehicle's compatibility with DroneMobile depending on which of the three features listed above you want to add to your vehicle.

The only thing you have to do is drop it off to Auto Trim Design and pick it up when it’s ready. Once you’re all set up, all you have to do is install the app and register the device as a new account. Once you have completed that, scan the identification of the device with your smartphone’s camera (or you can manually enter it in). Once all the required info is put into the app, the device is ready to go. Getting the app and device up and running is designed to be quick and easy.
