Have you ever wondered what does your car say about you? Studies have shown that a car purchase is a reflection of the buyer's personality.
Believe it or not, those four wheels that you choose to drive around on each day say a lot about your personality. The car you drive is a reflection of yourself, and people will often associate your personality with your vehicle.
Are you what you drive?
Ford
When researchers tested Ford drivers, they discovered that Ford drivers thought of themselves as friendly but direct. You prefer to buy American. You wear Converse and Dickies, and shop at Wal-Mart. The research also revealed that most Ford drivers work in construction or property. You own a dog, and you’re either a Gen X’er or a Baby Boomer.
Chevy
Studies show you love football, dogs, and NASCAR. If you drive a Chevy you think of yourself as mechanically inclined, your garage is your happy place. You identify as a leader, but acknowledge you can sometimes be too demanding. Your two favorite clothing brands are Under Armour and Carhartt, and you don’t spend much time staring at screens.
Audi
If you drive an Audi you're probably a Millennial. Studies show you live in a big city—most likely on one of the coasts—and you’re a Democrat. You work in sales, consulting or advertising. You watch a lot of TV and read the New Yorker. You invest in risky stocks, and consider yourself a sharp dresser. You have a daring personality and are very spontaneous. You are simple, but love the luxurious lifestyle.
Tesla
Studies show that Tesla owners are more likely to be relatively young and successful, own their own home and have a high household income. You want to be innovators and adopt new technology and are optimistic about the future. You also want something luxurious.
Toyota
If you drive a Toyota you’re probably a Gen X’er. Studies show that you likely work in logistics or transportation. You love college football, and soccer. Your friends are important to you, and so is maintaining a healthy lifestyle. You are frugal and like to play it safe. You shop at Banana Republic and the Apple store. You read the New York Times and watch a ton of ESPN.
Honda
You are always staying on a budget and handling your money very well. If you drive a Honda you’re probably a Millennial. Studies show you work in education or health care. But you prefer to spend your free time outdoors, visiting parks and historical places. You feel satisfied with your life, but you also think you spend too much time online.
Chrysler
Studies show that there is a good chance you’re older than 65 and you spend a lot of time watching TV and love going to the movies. College football dominates your fall Saturdays, and you’d probably admit you go too long between haircuts. You’re sincere and forgiving, but you can also be hyperactive and clingy. Chrysler Drivers are shown to be more dependable than other drivers.
Dodge
Dodge drivers are said to be big hearted. Studies show that you to prefer to wash your own car, and disagree with the belief that electric cars are the way of the future. You don’t style your hair, and you don’t look after your health as much as you should. You like bacon, NASCAR, dogs, and Subway. You are usually tuned in to the Discovery Channel. When you shop for clothes, you opt for comfort over style.
Jaguar
Jaguar attracts those of a higher age, and a higher budget than most. You are over 55, work in IT and business, enjoy rugby and golf and take an interest in politics and news. If you drive a Jaguar you likely appreciate cutting-edge technology. You are intelligent and don't like to be bored. You feel that traffic laws do not apply to you and drive aggressively. You are responsible and reliable.
BMW
You’re very knowledgeable and trendy. Studies show you’re likely under 30, and you work in sales, accounting or architecture. You feel strongly that foreign-made cars are higher quality, and you’re more likely than other people to have a fish for a pet. You care about current fashions, and you like going to trendy bars and restaurants. You exercise more than most people and care about how you look.
Mercedes Benz

Studies show you are adventurous and extremely reliable. You are practical, frugal, and have an active lifestyle. You are an outdoor sports enthusiasts. You love your dog and take him with you on all your adventures. Subaru owners drive slower because they are enjoying the experience more than everyone else. You love your Subaru...genuinely!

Lexus drivers compared to other drivers, are analytical and sensible. Studies show you live in a city, work in banking or finance, and you’re older than 65. You enjoy eating sushi, attending sporting events, and golfing. You could not live without a GPS in your car. You think it’s important to look young and feel attractive. Your a huge fan of Starbucks and Costco, and you tend to watch premium channels.
Kia
Kia drivers are generally female, aged over 55. You are balanced in your liberal political views. You enjoy sports like tennis and swimming, as well as taking interest in gardening, nature and the news. The idea of living in a city doesn’t appeal to you.
Lincoln
If you drive a Lincoln studies show you likely work in consulting or politics and live in a city. You like experimenting with recipes, and you worry life is more uncertain than it used to be. You see yourself as polite and kind. You think you have a great memory, and you’re also great at connecting emotionally with other people.

Volkswagen drivers are likely a Gen X’er. You think of yourself as imaginative, and you feel strongly that electric cars are the way of the future. You’re happy to ride a bike or catch a bus or train if that’s an option, because you care about the environment. You shop for organic food and love music.
